Nodusfall Crossplay: Will PC, PS5 and Mobile Play Together?

Short answer: crossplay has not been announced, and it cannot be ruled in or out yet. PC is the only confirmed platform, and HoYoverse has said other platforms will be announced "through official channels at a later date." Crossplay between platforms that haven't been confirmed is, by definition, still open.

Be careful with the two terms, because they get used interchangeably and they are not the same thing:

• Crossplay — players on different platforms joining the same session.
• Cross-save — one account carrying progress across platforms.

A game can have cross-save without crossplay (you resume your save on another device, but only play with people on that platform). Nodusfall has announced neither.

Why this matters more here than for most games

Nodusfall is built around four-player co-op boss hunts. If your group is split across a PC and a console, crossplay is the difference between playing together and not playing together at all. That makes it one of the highest-stakes unknowns left in the game's feature list — higher than cosmetics pricing for most people.

It also cuts the other way: a PC-only launch means crossplay is not a launch problem. If console versions arrive later, that is the moment the question becomes urgent.

Every recent HoYoverse release shipped as a single account across PC, mobile and PlayStation:

That is a strong precedent and the main reason crossplay is a reasonable expectation rather than a hope. But precedent is not a promise, and Nodusfall is explicitly the company's departure title — PC-first, no gacha, a different audience. Reading its platform strategy off Genshin's is exactly the mistake the "un-miHoYo" framing invites.

The technical case for and against

For: Nodusfall runs on Unreal Engine 5, which has mature cross-platform networking. The co-op session structure — four players, instanced hunts — is far easier to make crossplay than a shared open world. HoYoverse already operates the account infrastructure that cross-save needs.

Against: Console certification and platform-holder policies add real cost, and a game shipping PC-first may treat console as a later, separate build rather than a simultaneous one. Crossplay is also the kind of feature that gets announced with the console version, not before it.

What would settle it

1. A console platform announcement — crossplay almost always arrives attached to it.
2. An explicit line in an official FAQ or Q&A. The September 23 Q&A answered ten community questions and did not address crossplay, which tells you it is not yet a decided-and-communicable feature.
3. Beta logistics — if a beta runs across more than one platform at once, crossplay has been implemented.

Until one of those happens, treat every confident "Nodusfall has crossplay" claim you see as speculation.
