The myth

In the Classic of Mountains and Seas, Qiongqi is one of the four fiends — a winged tiger-like creature known for eating people and favoring the wicked. It's often paired with Taotie, Taowu and Hundun as ancient symbols of chaos. In some accounts it's an ox-tiger hybrid with hedgehog-like quills; in others, a winged tiger.

• The fight: Players battle Qiongqi as the demo's opening contract. Mid-fight, the beast flees — and you mount up and give chase.
